From a constituent’s profile, you can complete several tasks:
Edit the constituent’s information
Merge the constituent with another one
Change the constituent’s account type
View and edit the constituent’s group membership
Delete the constituent’s account
Edit Profile Information
To edit a constituent's profile:
In the constituent's account, click Profile.
To edit address, email, or phone information, click Edit.
To add an entry, click the + icon.
Enter the constituent's information.
To enter an address, begin typing in the Search for an Address field. A list of matching addresses displays. Select an address to automatically fill the other address fields.
If the constituent already has an address, click Replace to fill the address fields with the new information.
Click Save.
Tip: When you add secondary contact information, add only one of each type. For example, add a home and a work address, not two home addresses.
Change the Constituent Status
Each constituent account has one of these statuses:
Active — Constituent is in contact with your organization
Inactive — Constituent is not in contact with your organization. Read more about this status.
Deceased — Read more about this status.
To change the constituent status:
In the constituent's account, click Profile.
Click Edit.
Click Status.
Select a status.
Click Save. If you change the status to Inactive or Deceased, a badge appears in the profile header.
Tip: If the deceased constituent is in a household, make another member the head of household if necessary.
Manage Communication Preferences
As a best practice, let your constituents manage their own email preferences. If a constituent asks you to change their communication restrictions or email interests, you can do that in the Communication Preferences section of their profile. Read more about this.
Merge Constituents
Merge duplicate constituent records to keep your data clean. You can merge constituents if they are the same account type.

Before you begin:
Make sure you understand how Bloomerang CRM merges information from duplicate accounts.
To merge individuals and organizations, first change the account type to match, and then merge.
To merge constituents:
Click Profile.
Click Edit.
Click Merge.
Click the constituent you want to merge, or enter a name in the Search box to find the constituent.
Warning: Merging constituents is permanent. If you merge two constituents, Bloomerang CRM cannot restore the separate records or data deleted during the merge.
(Optional) To flip the Merge This One and Keep This One accounts, click Switch Direction.
Click Merge.
Change the Account Type
You can change the account type from Individual to Organization, or from Organization to Individual. Read Change the Constituent Type to Individual or Organization.
View Current Groups
To view group membership for a constituent:
In the constituent's account, click Profile.
In the Groups section, click Current Groups.
To view information about a group, click the group name.
To view a list of all groups, click Groups Summary.

Add to Groups
To add the constituent to one or more groups:
In the constituent's account, click Profile.
In the Groups section, click Add to Group.
From the Search Groups list, select one or more groups.
Click Add.
Tip: To efficiently add multiple constituents to a group, run a constituent report. You can add a report-generated list of constituents to a new or existing group.
Remove From Groups
To add the constituent to one or more groups:
In the constituent's account, click Profile.
In the Groups section, click Remove From Group.
From the Search Groups list, select one or more groups.
Groups that your organization manages appear.Click Remove.
To confirm, click Remove again.
Tip: To efficiently remove multiple constituents from a group, run a constituent report. You can remove a report-generated list of constituents from a group.
View Current Memberships
You can view a constituent's membership program and level, membership status, and renewal date on the constituent profile. For more information, read View Membership Information for Constituents.
To view current memberships:
In the constituent's account, click Profile.
Go the Memberships tile.
To view or edit membership schedule, click Edit. If you have view-only permission, click View. For information about how to edit membership schedules, view Create, Edit, or End Memberships.
Delete Constituents
If the constituent has any transactions, you must delete the transaction data before you can delete the account. To delete a constituent and transactions at the same time, you must use the Bulk Delete tool.
To delete a constituent:
In the constituent's account, click Profile.
Click Edit.
Click Delete.
