How Can Constituents Manage Their Email Preferences (Subscribe and Unsubscribe)?

As a best practice, let constituents manage their own email preferences. When constituents select to manage their email preferences, they can:

This article describes how constituents manage their own email preferences. If a constituent asks you to change their email preferences or restrictions (do not call, do not email, do not solicit), you can do that on the constituent's profile. Read more about this.

To subscribe (opt in) or unsubscribe (opt out), constituents follow these steps:

  1. Open an email message that your organization sent from Bloomerang CRM.

  2. At the end of the email message, click Manage Email Preferences.

  3. Select an option:

    • Subscribe to All Mailings — Subscribe to all marketing-related email interests

    • Only Send Me Mailings Based on My Interests — Subscribe to only selected marketing-related email interests

    • Unsubscribe from All Mailings — Unsubscribe from all marketing-related email interests. Constituents continue to receive transaction emails such as receipts. Transaction emails have one of these purposes: Acknowledgement, Receipt, or Pledge.

  4. Click Save Preferences.
