Bloomerang CRM can automatically sync transactions to QuickBooks Online for you. You can also start a manual sync at any time.
You can change the sync settings that control when transactions sync to QuickBooks. View a list of transactions that will sync. Run reports to see transactions that synced or won’t sync. Edit any synced or unsynced transactions that aren’t currently syncing.

Note: If your subscription includes the membership management add-on, you can also sync membership fee payments to QuickBooks Online. You must set up mapping rules for each membership level. Read about how to sync membership payments.
Before You Begin
Before you can sync Bloomerang CRM transactions to QuickBooks Online, you must set up the connection to QuickBooks and then set up the integration. For information, view Connect to QuickBooks Online and Bloomerang CRM to QuickBooks Online: Set Up the Integration.
Sync Settings
When you first set up this integration, you select settings that control when transactions sync:
Sync Start Date — New transactions created on or after this date can sync to QuickBooks Online. You can select a date in the past.
Sync Type — Automatic or manual
Frequency — How often automatic syncs run
New Transaction Sync Hold — By default, new transactions hold (do not sync) for 24 hours so you have time to make corrections. To remove the 24-hour hold, you can change this setting.

Sync Status
After you connect Bloomerang CRM to QuickBooks Online, transactions in Bloomerang CRM have a QuickBooks Status:
To Be Synced
Sync in Progress
Synced
Do Not Sync

You can see this status in the details for each transaction. For example, from a constituent’s timeline, click the transaction to see the QuickBooks status.
You can also see a list of transactions with each status. In the QuickBooks Online Integration in Bloomerang CRM, you can:
Preview a list of To Be Synced transactions created on or after the Sync Start Date. This list also includes sync errors and solutions. This list is a snapshot that can change after edits and syncs, which means you cannot save, schedule, or export it.
Run preconfigured Synced and Do Not Synced reports, which you can save, schedule, or export

Automatically Sync Transactions to QuickBooks
If you select Automatic Sync, new transactions created on or after the date you chose sync automatically to QuickBooks Online. Syncs start automatically at the frequency you chose (monthly, weekly, daily, or once). Keep in mind that new transactions hold (do not sync) for 24 hours, by default.
You can also manually sync at any time. If you start a manual sync, the next scheduled automatic sync proceeds as usual.

Manually Sync Transactions to QuickBooks
To manually sync Bloomerang CRM transactions to QuickBooks:
Click Settings.
Click Integrations.
Click Integrated Partners.
Click Settings.
In the Accounting section, click Go to QuickBooks Online.
The To Be Synced page opens.Review the list of transactions included in the sync. For more information about the To Be Synced list, read Bloomerang CRM to QuickBooks Online: View the Sync Status, Reports, and Errors.
If the View Error icon appears next to a transaction, click the icon to read the error message and solution. Transactions with unresolved errors won’t sync to QuickBooks.
Click Sync Now.
Click Continue.
The sync starts.
If all transactions sync successfully, the To Be Synced list shows no transactions.
Transactions that didn’t sync remain in the To Be Synced list. If a transaction won’t sync, you can view an error message and solution. For information about how to view sync errors, see Bloomerang CRM to QuickBooks Online: View the Sync Status, Reports, and Errors.
Unlock and Edit Transactions
You can always edit transactions with the status To Be Synced. These transactions are always unlocked.
To edit transactions with the status Synced or Do Not Sync, you must first unlock them. For more information about locked transactions, view QuickBooks Online Sync: Unlock and Edit Transactions.
You cannot unlock and edit transactions with the status Sync in Progress.
Note: If you run a bulk update that includes QBO transactions, any locked transactions are unlocked and updated. The extent of the update depends on the transaction's status and any custom rules you may have. See How does the Bulk Update tool handle synced transactions? to learn more.
Transactions in QuickBooks Online
Transactions synced from Bloomerang CRM appear in QuickBooks as either Invoices and Payments or Sales Receipts. However, not all Bloomerang CRM transaction types or data can sync to QuickBooks:
Pledges can be synced as Invoices and Payments, but cannot be synced as Sales Receipts.
Recurring Donation Schedules cannot be synced to QuickBooks in any way, but Recurring Donation Payments can be synced as Invoices and Payments or Sales Receipts.
Any transactions with a $0 Amount cannot sync to QuickBooks.
Fair Market Value cannot be synced with In Kind donations, but the Amount can sync.
If a Bloomerang CRM Transaction Number and the Document Number of an existing QuickBooks transaction are the same, and they are the same type of transaction (for example, Sales Receipts), the transaction cannot sync to QuickBooks.
A Document Number might persist in QuickBooks even after a QuickBooks transaction has been deleted. This can cause sync errors if a Bloomerang CRM transaction that was previously synced with the deleted QuickBooks transaction is synced.
Bloomerang CRM syncs the Name, Date, Payment Method, and transaction details (including the total dollar amount of the transaction without deducting fees) to QuickBooks Online, based on how you configure your mapping rules.
Note: Bloomerang Payments payout details such as Payout Date, Payout Id, and Fee Amount do not sync to QuickBooks Online. For information about how to create a reconciliation report, view Bloomerang CRM to QuickBooks Online: Reconcile Bloomerang Payments .
