Letters are a powerful means of communication with your constituents, and can be customized to your specific needs.
Create Letter Templates
To create a letter, start by creating a letter template. In Step 1, select how you would like to filter your audience. During this step, you can also set up the template to include multiple transactions in each letter. Then, in Step 2, set the Name, Purpose, and other details for the new letter template.
After you have created your template, you can edit your letter’s content to adjust the text and add merge fields.
Preview and Print Letters and Addresses
Next generate a list of letter recipients. Bloomerang CRM automatically skips constituents who have missing, incomplete, or bad address information. You can print your address labels from various sources, and you can also perform a mail merge in Microsoft Word.
When you’re ready to run a batch of letters, make sure to preview how your letters will look before you run them. When you’re satisfied with your letter’s preview, you can save the letter as a PDF file, then print out a test letter. If the test letter also looks good, you can save the final letter to PDF, then print as many copies as you need before running the batch.
Customize and Send Individual Letters
When you run a batch of letters, Bloomerang CRM creates a Mail transaction on the timeline of each recipient. You can select the transaction to edit the letter for that particular recipient.
You can also attach a letter to a transaction on a constituent’s timeline. For example, if the constituent made a donation, the donation appears as a transaction on their timeline. You can select that particular transaction and attach a letter to it, such as an Acknowledgement.
