Bloomerang CRM automatically creates and manages several groups. You can also add and manage new groups to segment your data even more.

Add Groups
To add and populate a small group:
Manually add the group on the Groups Summary page
Manually add the group on the Report results page (constituent reports only)
To efficiently add and populate a large group:
Run a constituent report and add the report-generated list of constituents to a new group. For instructions, read Run Reports for Groups.
Ask Penny to create a group from a list of constituents in a chat response, including a list based on donor intelligence scores such as Predict AI scores or optimal ask amount.
Important: You can't filter by donor intelligence scores, such as Predict AI scores or optimal ask amount, when you add or edit a group's filters in the Groups area. To create a group based on a donor intelligence score, ask Penny instead.
To add a new group and manually select members from the Groups Summary page:
Click Groups.
Click Add Group.
Enter the Group Name.
(Optional) Enter a Description of the group.
Click Add Members.
Select one or more constituents. To find constituents, you can:
Click any column to sort the list.
Click Filter Results to apply one or more filters.
Click Add Members.
To view your new group, click View Group.

To efficiently add multiple constituents to an existing group, you can also:
Run a constituent report. You can add a report-generated list of constituents to an existing group.
Constituents can be members of more than one group.
To add group members from the Group Details page:
Click Groups.
Click the group name.
Select Action > Add Members.
Select one or more constituents to add. To find constituents, you can:
Click any column to sort the list.
Click Filter Results to apply one or more filters.
Click Add Members.

Remove members from an existing group that you manage from any of these pages:

To efficiently remove multiple constituents from a group, run a constituent report and remove the report-generated list of constituents from a group.
To remove group members from the Groups Detail page:
Click Groups.
Click the group name.
Select one or more constituents to remove. To find constituents, you can:
Click any column to sort the list.
Click Filter Results to apply one or more filters.
Select Action > Remove Members.
Click Remove.

Edit the Group Name and Description
Edit the name and description for a group that you manage from any of these pages:

Group Details page
You can edit the group name and description for groups that your organization created. You cannot edit groups that Bloomerang CRM created automatically. The green Bloomerang icon identifies groups that Bloomerang CRM created.
To edit the group name and description from the Groups Summary page:
Click Groups.
Click Action > Edit Group.
Enter a new Group Name or Description.
Click Save.
Delete Groups
You can delete any group that your organization created. Constituents who were members of the group remain in Bloomerang CRM. For instructions, read Delete Groups.
