Create an unforgettable experience for your donors with video acknowledgements. Record a short, personalized thank-you video on your mobile device and send it via email to show donors how much you appreciate their support.
It only takes a few minutes to record and send your video, but the impact of a personalized acknowledgement can take donor engagement to a whole new level. Video acknowledgements:
Are sent to donors via email.
Create an immediate, personal connection with major donors and other donors you’re personally cultivating.
Convey gratitude for donations more strongly than a standard email or letter acknowledgement.
Increase donor engagement, repeat donations, and donation size.
To add video acknowledgements to your subscription, email [email protected].
Note: With this feature, there is no limit to how many video acknowledgements you can send.

Record and Send Video Acknowledgements
To record and send video acknowledgements:
On the activity feed, constituent timeline, or in the details of an individual donation, tap +Video.
Tap the Record button
to begin recording your video. Mobile video acknowledgements can be up to 90 seconds long.
When you are finished recording, tap the stop button
.
On the Edit Video screen, you can watch your video and jump anywhere in its timeline.
To keep the video, tap Save Video.
(Optional) To re-record the video, tap Start Over. This is the only way to change the video’s preview image.
(Optional) On the Email Preview screen, customize the subject line and body of the email that will be sent to the donor. The email will contain a link to your video.
(Optional) To select a preview image for your video, tap the video thumbnail. On the Choose Preview Image screen, scroll through your video’s timeline to select a frame, then tap the check mark
to select it.
Tap Send Email to send the email to the donor.
Note: If +Video shows a lock icon instead, your Bloomerang CRM subscription does not include the mobile video acknowledgements feature. Tap Video to learn how to purchase it.
After you send a video acknowledgement:
The donation’s acknowledgement status changes from No to Yes. If the acknowledgement status was already Yes, it does not change.
The video acknowledgement appears as an interaction on the constituent’s timeline.
Video acknowledgements are hosted for 30 days. After the video expires, the viewer sees a “This video is no longer available” message when they visit the hosted video page.
Troubleshooting Samsung Android Recording Errors
If you are using a Samsung Android device, you might encounter an error when trying to record videos. You may receive an error message, or the recording may simply fail. This issue is outside of Bloomerang’s control. However, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:
Restart your device
Upgrade your device’s software
Restart your Camera app
Reset your Camera settings
Clear your Camera app cache
Note: Bloomerang cannot guarantee that these troubleshooting steps will resolve the issue.
Restart Your Camera App
To restart your Camera app:
Open your device’s Settings.
Navigate to the Apps list.
Tap Camera.
Tap Force Stop.
Start your Camera app again.
Reset Your Camera Settings
To reset your Camera app settings:
Open the Camera app.
Tap the Settings icon.
Tap Reset settings.
Tap Reset.
Clear Your Camera App Cache
To clear your Camera’s cache:
Open your device’s Settings.
Navigate to the Apps list.
Tap Camera.
Tap Storage.
Tap Clear Cache.
