Modernize your fundraising with digital wallets.
Digital wallets are a way to securely store payment methods on devices for quick use. Like physical wallets, digital wallets can hold multiple payment methods: credit and debit cards, bank accounts, gift cards, and account balances.
Your donors can use these digital wallets to donate through Bloomerang CRM:
Apple Pay
Google Pay
PayPal
Venmo
When your donors can use a favorite, trusted payment service to donate with ease, they’re more likely to give. Additional payment methods can also help attract new donors.
Digital wallets are available exclusively through Bloomerang Payments.
Online Donations
Donors can use digital wallets to pay when they donate online. Digital wallets can appear as payment options on these Bloomerang forms:
Online giving forms — For one-time and recurring donations. Read about how to create online giving forms.
Membership forms — For yearly memberships. Read about how to create membership forms.
Note: Donors can use PayPal and Venmo to pay for one-time donations on online giving forms, but not for recurring donations, pledges, or memberships. For information about recurring donations in existing PayPal accounts, read Existing PayPal Accounts.
This table explains how to make sure digital wallets appear on your online forms. This table also explains what donors need to do to pay with a digital wallet.

Donations Created in Bloomerang CRM
In Bloomerang CRM, you can add donations and select a saved digital wallet payment method. How this works:
A donor uses your online form to make a recurring donation or join your membership program.
The donor selects a digital wallet to pay.
Bloomerang CRM saves the digital wallet as a payment method in the constituent’s account.
If you later add a donation in Bloomerang CRM for that donor, the saved digital wallet appears as a payment option.
Note: Donors can use PayPal and Venmo to pay for one-time donations on online giving forms, but the PayPal and Venmo payment methods are not saved to constituent accounts in Bloomerang CRM. This means you cannot select a saved PayPal or Venmo payment method when you add a recurring donation payment for a donor.
Donations Created in the Mobile App
At in-person events and meetings, add donations in the Bloomerang CRM mobile app. Donors can tap their mobile device to your screen to pay with their digital wallet. Read more about Tap to Pay.
Note: If a constituent uses Tap to Pay to pay for a donation, the payment method used for that donation is not saved to the constituent's account.
