When you add a donation in the Bloomerang CRM mobile app, donors can pay with any of these methods:
Saved Payment
Credit card
Digital wallet (Apple Pay or Google Pay)
Electronic funds transfer (EFT)
Cash
Check
In Kind
To enter a historical record of a donation processed outside of Bloomerang CRM, select Do Not Process.
Saved Payment
The Saved Payment option appears on the standard donation form if the constituent account has a saved credit card, EFT, Apple Pay, or Google Pay payment method.
If a constituent uses Tap to Pay to pay for a donation, that payment method is not saved to the constituent's account.
Credit Card
To accept credit or debit cards, use any or all of these methods:
Tap to Pay — Donors tap a contactless card to your mobile phone screen. If you use Bloomerang Payments, you can enable Tap to Pay on compatible mobile devices. View Enable Tap to Pay and Process Donations with Tap to Pay.
Card reader — Connect a card reader to your mobile device. Donors insert a chip card to pay. You must purchase a Stripe card reader. View Process Donations with a Mobile Card Reader.
Manually enter — Type the card number.
Digital Wallet
Donors can use digital wallets to donate. Digital wallets are a way to securely store payment methods on mobile devices for quick use.
Donors tap their mobile phone to your screen to pay. Donors can pay with an:
iPhone with Apple Pay
Android phone with Google Pay
To accept digital wallet payments, you must enable Tap to Pay. Tap to Pay is available exclusively for customers who use Bloomerang Payments.
Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
EFT payments are digital transfers from savings or checking accounts. EFT is available only if you select an existing constituent who has a primary address entered in Bloomerang CRM.
Enter the Account Type, Routing Number, and Account Number. Select a processor or Do Not Process.
Tip: The routing number is a nine-digit number at the lower left of the check. The account number is next to it.
Cash
Enter the amount of the monetary gift.
Check
Enter the check amount. The Check Number and Check Date are optional.
In Kind
In kind donations are non-cash gifts of goods or services. Goods might include food, clothing, equipment, materials, or other items. Services might include professional advice or work completed by someone with specialized skills.
Select the type of in kind donation: Goods or Services. You must also enter a Fair Market Value.
In the Amount field, enter $0.00. This prevents in-kind donations from being counted or receipted as actual dollars.
