Edit Email Settings
To edit email settings:
Click Communications.
Click Emails.
Open the unsent email or email template you'd like to edit.
To edit the name, click the Edit icon
next to the name. This name helps you manage your email or email template list in Bloomerang CRM. Recipients don’t see this name.
To edit the Purpose, select an option from the list. Read more about email purposes.
To edit the Type of email, select one of these options from the list: Constituent, Interaction, Transaction. The type determines the merge fields and filters available for this email.
Important: When you change the email type, Bloomerang CRM checks whether you’re using this email as a custom confirmation email for any online forms. Bloomerang CRM also checks whether your email message or template contains type-specific merge fields or data tables. Before you can change the email type in these cases, Bloomerang CRM prompts you to select a new confirmation email for online forms and delete type-specific merge fields and data tables.
To edit what appears in the email header, click Header and:
(Email messages only) To edit the email interests, click Recipients and select one or more options: Event, Newsletter, or Volunteer Information. Read more about email interests.
(Email messages only) To allow or prevent blank merge fields:
Click Design.
Select or clear the Allow Blank Merge Fields check box. If you select this option, Bloomerang CRM doesn’t skip constituents because of blank merge fields.
