Test your Authorize.Net or Stripe credit card processor with a live credit card to make sure the connection is set up correctly. This test creates a real transaction, but you can refund and clean up test transactions.
Before You Begin
Authorize.Net
To test an Authorize.Net transaction in Bloomerang:
You must have an Authorize.Net processor set up in Bloomerang. For information about how to set up an Authorize.Net processor, read Add Authorize.Net to Bloomerang.
The Authorize.Net processor must be live.
To test forms, you must select Test Mode. For information about how to test forms, read Test Forms with Transactions. Only select Test Mode if you are testing a form.
Stripe
You must have a Stripe processor set up in Bloomerang. For information about how to set up a Stripe processor, read Add Stripe to Bloomerang.
Stripe transaction processors do not have a Test Mode option, so you can only do live testing in Bloomerang or on a form.
Warning: To test Stripe, use $1 transactions. You can refund the transaction to the donor, but the transaction fees are non-refundable.
Test the Processor
To test an Authorize.Net or Stripe processor, add a credit card transaction to a constituent.
Tip: If you are using your own credit card, create yourself as a constituent in Bloomerang.
Enter the Date, Amount, and Fund.
From the Method drop-down list, select Credit Card.
From the Processor drop-down list, select a credit card processor.
Enter the Card Number and Expiration.
Click Save.
The transaction is processed and shows up on the constituent's timeline.
Clean Up
Refund the test transactions from Bloomerang. On the constituent's timeline, open the donation and click Refund. If you are completely finished testing, contact [email protected] to clean up the test transactions.
