View Data Synced from Bloomerang Volunteer

During a data sync, Bloomerang CRM and Bloomerang Volunteer exchange volunteer-related data. To understand which data syncs between systems, read Bloomerang Volunteer.

In Bloomerang CRM, view information synced from Bloomerang Volunteer:

Note: You must use Bloomerang Volunteer to turn on automatic syncing or to start a manual sync. For more information, read Sync Volunteer Data with Bloomerang CRM.

View Updates to the Volunteer Group

After a sync, view new members and updated analytics for the Volunteer group.

To view updates to the Volunteer group:

  1. Select Groups.

  2. Select the Volunteer group. Updated analytics appear at the top of the page. Constituents synced from Bloomerang Volunteer appear in the Group Members list.

Tip: To determine which constituents were created or updated by Bloomerang Volunteer, view the timestamps on the Profile page in constituent records. Or, run a constituent report.

View New and Updated Constituents

To view new and updated constituents:

  1. Click the constituent.
    The constituent record opens.

  2. Click Profile. Bloomerang Volunteer syncs new or updated information to these fields:

    • First and last name

    • Address

    • Email address

    • Mobile phone number

    • Date of birth

  3. To determine when Bloomerang Volunteer created or updated the constituent, scroll to the bottom of Profile page. The Created and Last Modified timestamps include the Bloomerang Volunteer API key name and username in this format: APIkeyname-username. For information about the API key, read Bloomerang Volunteer.

To run a constituent report:

  1. Select Reports.

  2. Click New.

  3. Click Build a Report From Scratch.

  4. Click Constituents.

  5. In the Include section, click Add Filter.

  6. Select Created By.

  7. In the Contains text box, enter the API key name, or the API key name and username separated by a hyphen. For information about the API key, read Bloomerang Volunteer.

  8. Click OK.

  9. To see constituents created by Bloomerang Volunteer during a certain time period, add a Created Date.

View Interactions for Volunteer Activity

To view new and updated interactions, you can view individual constituent records or run a report.

To view volunteer activity interactions synced from Bloomerang Volunteer:

  1. Do one of the following:

  2. Click the constituent.
    The constituent record opens.

  3. Click Timeline.

  4. Click the interaction. Volunteer activity interactions synced from Bloomerang Volunteer are read-only.

  5. To determine when Bloomerang Volunteer synced the interaction:

    1. Click Profile.

    2. Scroll to the bottom of the page. The Created and Last Modified timestamps include the Bloomerang Volunteer API key name and the username in this format: APIkeyname-username.

Run Volunteer Reports

To run a volunteer activity interaction report:

  1. Select Reports.

  2. Click New.

  3. Click Build a Report From Scratch.

  4. Click Interactions.

  5. In the Include section, click Add Filter.

  6. To filter by activity:

    1. Select Volunteer Activity.

    2. To see only specific activities, select one or more activities.

  7. To filter by hours:

    1. Select Volunteer Hours.

    2. In the text boxes, enter the minimum and maximum number of hours.

  8. Click OK.

  9. To see interactions created or updated during a certain time period, add a Created Date filter, a Last Modified Date filter, or both.

  10. Click OK.

If you manually add interactions to Bloomerang CRM, use the Created By filter to see only interactions synced from Bloomerang Volunteer.

To run a volunteer interaction activity report with the Created By filter:

  1. Select Reports.

  2. Click New.

  3. Click Build a Report From Scratch.

  4. Click Interactions.

  5. In the Include section, click Add Filter.

  6. Select Created By.

  7. In the Contains text box, enter the API key name, or the API key name and username separated by a hyphen. For information about the API key, read Bloomerang Volunteer.

  8. Click OK.

Tip: After you start using Bloomerang Volunteer, do not manually add volunteer activity interactions to constituent records in Bloomerang CRM. Bloomerang Volunteer automatically syncs volunteer activity to Bloomerang CRM.
