Bloomerang offers mobile card readers for use with the Bloomerang Fundraising app. The reader that works with your account depends on your payment processor, which you can generally confirm in your account or by contacting Support.
Confirm your payment processor
You can usually tell which processor your account uses from the left-side navigation and the Reporting section:
Bloomerang Payments: Your account has a Payments option in the left-side navigation.
Legacy processor: Your account has Batches and Settlements under Reporting.
Not sure which applies to you? Contact Support, and we'll confirm your processor.
Find your reader
If you use Bloomerang Payments: Your compatible reader is the Stripe M2 readers, and USB-A readers. Read About Stripe M2 Card Readers for compatibility, pricing, ordering, and returns.
If you use WorldPay: Your compatible readers are the VP3350 readers (Bluetooth, Lightning, and USB-C) and, for existing customers, Lightning readers. Read About WorldPay Card Readers for compatibility, pricing, ordering, and returns.
Important: Stripe M2 readers only work with Bloomerang Payments, and VP3350/VP3300 readers only work with WorldPay. The two are not interchangeable. If you order a reader that doesn't match your processor, it won't work with your account.
General System Requirements
Regardless of which reader you use, your mobile device needs:
Android 9.0 or later
iOS 15 or later
iPadOS 15 or later
The Stripe M2 reader has slightly lower minimum device operation system requirements see the Stripe M2 Card Reader article for details.
The Bloomerang Fundraising app for iOS and Android is designed for use with Bloomerang Fundraising donation forms, standard events, peer-to-peer, and auctions. The app is only compatible with Bloomerang-supported card readers, third-party card readers are not supported.
