USB Card Reader for Virtual Terminal

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Encrypted USB-A card readers are currently available for the web-based Virtual Terminal at a cost of $99 each. Card readers make credit card payments really easy, but they're not mandatory—you can enter credit card numbers manually within the Virtual Terminal.

Please note: The Bloomerang Fundraising Virtual Terminal is only compatible with Bloomerang Fundraising card readers. Third-party card readers are not supported.

To buy a card reader, please contact Bloomerang Fundraising Customer Experience at 888-855-9595 or [email protected].

Check out the video below for an overview of Bloomerang's available card readers.

Please note: Qgiv by Bloomerang is now Bloomerang Fundraising! This video does not yet reflect the new branding and visual layout of the Bloomerang Fundraising platform. Updates are in progress, so check back soon!

The USB-A model is compatible with Windows and macOS computers (additional configuration required before use on Macs).

To Connect Using Windows (Recommended):

  1. Plug the card reader into an available USB-A port.

  2. You may see a message indicating the device has been connected and is automatically installing. Don’t worry if you don’t see a message; the card reader is designed for plug-and-play on Windows machines.

  3. Once the device has successfully installed, it is available to use in the Virtual Terminal found in your organization's control panel.
