Bloomerang offers several WorldPay-compatible card readers. Most of these readers work with the Bloomerang Fundraising app on a mobile device. USB-A readers are the exception: they work with a laptop through the web-based virtual terminal, not the app.
Card readers aren't mandatory. You can enter credit card numbers manually in the app or the virtual terminal instead.
The Bloomerang Fundraising app is designed for use with Bloomerang Fundraising donation forms, standard events, peer-to-peer, and auctions.
Compatible Readers
The Bloomerang Fundraising app is only compatible with Bloomerang-supported card readers. Third-party card readers are not supported. WorldPay-compatible readers are:
Lightning Reader – VP3350
USB-C Reader – VP3350
Bluetooth Reader – VP3350
Note: You can still use the VP3300 Bluetooth reader and Lightning Reader – Legacy, but you can no longer purchase these models.
Requirements
To connect a card reader to your mobile device, you must have:

iOS 15 or later
iPadOS 15 or later

Lightning readers work with any iPhone or iPad that has a Lightning charging port.
USB-C connectors work with:
Android devices running Android 12 or later
Bluetooth card readers work with:
Android devices running Android 12 or later
About VP3300 & VP3350 Card Readers
Important: While VP3300 and VP3350 readers have physical chip and tap-to-pay functionality, the Bloomerang Fundraising app only supports swiped transactions and the card readers will have an insert to prevent chip inserts.
Bluetooth Battery & Sleep Modes
When running on battery power, readers automatically enter power-saving modes after idling:
VP3300 Readers:
Enters low-power mode after 5 seconds of inactivity.
Enters sleep mode after 20 seconds of inactivity.
VP3350 Readers:
Enters low-power mode after 5 minutes of inactivity.
Enters sleep mode after 60 minutes of inactivity.
To reconnect after sleep: Press the power button on the reader to re-establish the Bluetooth connection before starting a new transaction.
Continuous Power: Connecting either reader to a power source using a USB cable keeps the Bluetooth connection active indefinitely.

Bloomerang Fundraising Support will confirm and process your order. Once shipped, you will receive a tracking number.
Return and Exchange Policy
Return a Card Reader
Card readers are eligible for return within 30 days of delivery if they are unopened and unused.
Opened or used readers are not eligible for return unless confirmed defective by our team.
A restocking fee of $10 will apply to all non-defective returns.
To initiate a return, contact our support team. Returns must be approved prior to shipping the item back.
Exchange a Card Reader
Exchanges are only offered in the following cases:
The device is confirmed faulty or defective within 30 days of delivery
There was an order or fulfillment error on our part (for example, the incorrect model shipped)
Clients are responsible for return shipping unless the return or exchange is due to a defect or error on our end.
Refunds or exchanges will be processed once the returned item is received and inspected.
