To donate to your organization, donors can:
Go to your main donation page. All of your public donation pages appear in the Select an Initiative list.
Go to a specific donation page. You can copy the link from the donation page settings and share it with your supporters.
Go to crowdfunding pages.
Click a donation button on your website if you create a donation plugin.
Sign in to the donor portal.
Payment Methods
Donors can pay with a credit card, bank account, and digital wallets (Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, or Venmo). For more information, view Payment Methods in Kindful Fundraising.
Note: Donors can pay with digital wallets on donation pages, crowdfunding pages, and event forms, but not through donation plugins.
Security
All Kindful Fundraising forms are protected by reCAPTCHA v3, a Google service that helps prevent fraud on websites. This service protects your Kindful forms while making it easier for donors to submit forms. Donors can submit forms without solving a CAPTCHA puzzle unless reCAPTCHA questions whether the person is a real donor. For your organization, this means more donations and fewer fraudulent transactions.
Note: In Kindful Fundraising, you could previously enter the allowed number of payment attempts before donors had to solve a CAPTCHA puzzle. You might have set this number high to prevent CAPTCHA puzzles on your forms. With reCAPTCHA v3, this setting no longer appears for Kindful Fundraising forms. This means donors might have to solve CAPTCHA puzzles sometimes to submit forms.
Donate
To donate from the main donation page or a specific donation page, your donors must follow these steps:
From the Select an Initiative list, select a donation page. This option appears only on the main donation page.
Select or enter a donation amount.
Select the donation Frequency: One Time or Recurring.
Click the donate button.
Main donation page:
Specific donation page:
(Optional) Select the checkbox to cover transaction feeds.
In the Billing Info section, select a payment method:
Apple Pay
Google Pay
PayPal
Venmo
Credit Card
Bank Account
If you select Apple Pay or Google Pay, follow the prompts on your device to complete the transaction.
If you select PayPal, sign in to an existing PayPal account. Or, create a new PayPal account and pay for your donation at the same time.
If you select Venmo on a mobile device, the Venmo app opens. If the app isn’t installed, you're prompted to install it. If you select Venmo on a computer, a QR code appears. Scan the QR code with your phone to pay in the Venmo mobile app.
If you select Credit Card or Bank Account:
Enter the credit card or bank account billing details.
Select I'm Not a Robot and complete the security verification.
Click Donate.
The Thank You page opens. You can create a donor portal account or sign in to an existing account.
