Your donors can create a donor portal account to manage their profile and donations.
When donors sign in to their account, they can:
View their entire donation history
Update profile information
Add one-time and recurring donations
Edit recurring donations, including payment information
Cancel recurring donations and pledges
Request a refund for one-time donations
Download a tax summary
Encourage your donors to create an account. It’s optional but saves you and your donors time. It’s also another opportunity for donors to give to your organization.
Note: You cannot disable the donor portal.
Create a Donor Account
Your donors can create an account before or after they donate. Donors must create their own accounts. You cannot create an account for a donor. Only individual constituents can create a donor portal account.
Tip: To encourage donors to create an account, add a donor portal link in emails that you send to donors. The URL is unique to your organization. To find your URL, go to one of your donation pages, click Sign In, and copy the URL.
To create a new account after donating, your donors must follow these steps:
Connect to the organization’s donation page.
Submit a donation.
The Create a Secure Account page opens.
Enter your Email.
Enter your First Name and Last Name.
Enter and confirm your Password.
Select the checkbox to agree to the Kindful Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
Select the I’m Not a Robot checkbox.
Complete the CAPTCHA security verification.
Click Submit.
We send you an email message with the subject “Confirmation Instructions.”Open the email message and click Confirm My Account.
If you did not receive the confirmation email, select to resend it.
Tip: Donors can also create a new account before they donate. Donors must connect to your organization’s donation page, click Sign In, and then click Sign Up.
Sign In to a Donor Account
The Sign In button appears at the top right on donation pages.
A Sign In button does not appear on donation plug-ins that you embed on your website, but you can always add a donor portal link to your website. To find your organization's unique donor portal URL, go to one of your donation pages, click Sign In, and copy the URL.
To sign in to an account, your donors must follow these steps:
Connect to the organization’s donation page.
At the top right of the page, click Sign In.
Enter your Email and Password.
To log in faster next time, select Remember Me to save your credentials on your computer or device. Only select this option from a trusted computer or device that is not public.
Click Sign In.
If you cannot sign in, reset your password.
Tip: Donors can also sign in to their account after they donate. On the Create a Secure Account page, click Sign In.
Resend the Confirmation Email
To resend the confirmation email, your donors must follow these steps:
Connect to the organization’s donation page.
At the top right of the page, click Sign In.
Click Didn’t Receive Confirmation Instructions?
Enter your email address.
Click Resend.
If you see the message “We cannot find an account with this email address, try the following:
To make sure you entered the email address correctly, enter it again and click Resend.
Create an account.
Reset the Password
To reset a password, your donors must follow these steps:
Connect to the organization’s donation page.
At the top right of the page, click Sign In.
Click Forgot Your Password?
Enter your email address.
Click Send Reset Instructions.
We send you an email message from [email protected] with the subject “Reset Password Instructions.”Open the email message and follow the instructions.
If a donor resets their password, but contacts your organization because they still cannot sign in, email Bloomerang Support.
