You can add a payment to a membership schedule and edit payments. You can also apply (convert) existing donations to membership payments.

Add Membership Payments
To add a membership payment:
Go to the constituent's account.
Click the down arrow and New Donation.
Select the membership and click Create Membership Dues Payment.
To change the payment method, select a Method.
In the Acknowledgements section:
Select whether to send an acknowledgement right after you save this donation. Read more about this.
Important: If you use Journey Automation to automate email acknowledgements for initial membership payments and later membership payments, do not select to send an acknowledgement now.To attach a previous acknowledgement interaction to this donation, click the plus sign +. You can repeat this step to attach more acknowledgement interactions. Read more about this.
If you enabled Online Payment Confirmation Receipts, you can send a receipt for this payment other than the one you configured in the Online Payment Confirmation Receipt settings. In the Online Payment Confirmation section, select an email.
Click Save.
Edit Membership Payments
You can change the fund, campaign, and appeal on individual payments without affecting the membership schedule or other membership payments.
To edit the fund, campaign, or appeal for a membership payment:
Go to the constituent's account.
On the Timeline, click the membership payment.
Edit the Fund, Campaign, or Appeal.
You can edit the date and payment method when you enter a membership payment.
To edit the Date or Method for a credit card, EFT, Apple Pay, or Google Pay payment that was processed by Bloomerang CRM, click Unlink From Processor. For more information, view Unlinking Transactions from Transaction Processors.
Convert Donations to Membership Payments
You can convert donations to membership payments. You might have to do this if:
A constituent donates but wants to apply that donation to a membership.
You import donations that should apply to a membership.
The donation must be on the correct constituent account. Donations on a duplicate account or a household member's account cannot be converted.
To convert a donation:
Open the donation.
Click Actions.
Select Convert to Payment.
Select the membership.
Click Next.
Click Save. The donation is converted into a membership payment.
Note: You can also convert recurring donation schedules to membership schedules.
