Use the Bulk Delete tool to permanently delete multiple interactions from Bloomerang CRM at the same time. You might do this as part of routine data cleanup and maintenance.
To bulk delete interactions, you must be:
An Admin user, or
A Standard user with Data Tools permissions.
Warning: This tool permanently deletes interactions and associated PDFs. You cannot restore deleted interactions or associated PDFs.
Best Practices
The Bulk Delete tool can save you time, but use it with care.
Before you use the Bulk Delete tool, export and download your data. We recommend this step so you have a copy of the data for your records. Keep in mind that you cannot undo a bulk delete. For information about how to export your data, read Export Bloomerang CRM Data.
Tip: To help plan which interactions to delete, create a new interactions report. This optional step helps you refine which filters to use to generate the interactions list. For extra help with filtering, chat or email our Support team. When you run the Bulk Delete tool, you can use the report to generate the list of interactions to delete.
To delete only interactions generated by a letter batch, you can delete the letter batch rather than use the Bulk Delete tool. When you delete the letter batch, the associated interactions are also deleted. If the letter batch was for gift acknowledgement, you can set the Acknowledged field to No, which tells you the gifts haven't been acknowledged yet. Read Delete a Generated Letter Batch.
Bulk Delete a List of Interactions
To bulk delete interactions:
Click Data Tools.
On the Bulk Delete tile, click Edit.
Click New Bulk Delete.
From the drop-down list, select Interactions.
Click Select.
To specify which interactions to delete, add Include filters, Exclude filters, or both. Read Report Basics: Add Filters.
Tip: You can also use a saved report to generate the list of interactions to delete. Read Use Filters from Another Report.
Click OK. Interactions matching your filter criteria appear.
To permanently delete the interactions that appear in the list, click Delete. A confirmation message appears.
Click Delete. The Deleted Records page opens and shows the status of the bulk delete and the number of deleted interactions.
Tip: You can leave this page while the bulk delete runs. You cannot run multiple bulk deletes at the same time.
