View Tasks

You can view tasks on the Bloomerang CRM dashboard, the Active Tasks list, on a constituent's timeline, or in a report.

If you use Journey Automation, task lists include tasks assigned by automations.

View Tasks on the Dashboard

To view tasks on the dashboard:

  1. Click Home.

  2. Go to the Tasks tile.

  3. To view a list of all tasks in your organization, click All.

  4. To view only tasks assigned to you, click My.

  5. To view the Active Tasks list, click View All Tasks The View All Tasks icon on the Bloomerang dashboard..

Tasks appear in order of due date.

Edit, Archive, and Delete Tasks from the Dashboard

To edit, archive, or delete a task from the dashboard:

  1. Click the task.

  2. Edit any fields, enter a website, or attach files.

  3. To mark the task as done, click Complete and select Complete.

  4. To convert the task to an interaction, click Complete and select Save as Interaction.

  5. To archive the task, click Archive Archive button.

  6. To delete the task, click Delete Delete button.

Add Tasks from the Dashboard

To add a new task from the dashboard:

  1. Click Add Task The Add Task icon on the Bloomerang dashboard.

Manage Tasks from the Active Tasks List

The Active Tasks list includes more search and filtering options.

To manage tasks from the Active Tasks list:

  1. Click Home.

  2. Go to the Tasks tile.

  3. Click View All Tasks The View All Tasks icon on the Bloomerang dashboard.. Overdue tasks appear in red.

  4. To view or edit the task details, click the task.

  5. To create a new task, click New Task.

Filter the Active Tasks List

To filter the task list by status, click Overdue, Due Soon, or Due Later. If you select multiple status filters, the Active Tasks list include tasks that match any selected filters.

To filter the task list by channel, click Email, In Person, Mail, Phone, Social Media, Text Message, or Other. If you select multiple channel filters, the Active Tasks list include tasks that match any selected filters.

To clear selected filters, click them or click All.

Search the Active Tasks List

To search for tasks, enter search terms in the Search box.

Export the Active Tasks List

To export the task list as an .XLSX spreadsheet, click Export to Excel.

Generate Task Reports

Tasks reports provide the most powerful tools to search for and filter tasks. You can create a task-based report to see a customized list of active, completed, and archived tasks, including ones saved as interactions. You can also filter by task Status, and select Active, Complete, and/or Archived, depending on what you want to see in the report.

View Tasks on Constituent Timelines

Tasks associated with constituents appear on constituent timelines. The timeline entry shows the task channel, purpose, description, and due date. To edit the task or change its status, click the task icon The task icon on a constituent's timeline reflects the task's status: active, completed, archived, or overdue..

A phone call task is displayed on a constituent's timeline.
