Create and refine reports quickly with plain language. Describe the report you want to build or the change you want to make, and Bloomerang CRM instantly creates or updates the report for you, including the filters, columns, sort order, and groupings.
Why Should I Use Conversational Reporting?
Use conversational reporting to:
Get answers faster. Skip the trial-and-error of choosing filters, building logic, and adding columns.
Ask questions in your own words. Describe the report you want to build or the change you want to make, and Bloomerang creates or updates it in seconds.
Open up reporting to your whole team. Anyone with permission to edit reports can build their own without waiting on someone with reporting expertise.
Spend less time in reports and more time on your mission. Get report-driven answers without spending a lot of time.
How Does It Work?
On the Reports page, describe the report you want. Bloomerang CRM automatically:
Asks you for more context, if needed.
Creates the report for you.
Before you save the report, you can review it to make sure it’s built the way you want. If you want to make changes, describe the changes in plain language, and your report updates instantly.
Reports you create with conversational reporting have the same elements as reports you create manually:
After you save your report, you can manage it like any other report. For example, you can schedule it to run automatically, export it to Excel, organize it in folders, and edit it.
What Reports Can I Create or Edit?
Use conversational reporting to create any report you’d normally create manually. For example, ask for:
A list of constituents who match certain criteria, like donors who gave more than $500 last year
Constituents grouped by activity, like people who attended our gala but haven't donated this year
Reports filtered by amount, fund, campaign, appeal, date range, or other fields supported by Bloomerang CRM reports
Combinations of criteria with AND/OR logic, like first-time donors from 2025 who live in Indiana or Ohio
After you build a report, you can use conversational reporting to edit it. For example, ask to:
Add the email address column
Exclude constituents in the lapsed donor segment
Change the date range to last quarter
Remove the fund filter
Who Can Use Conversational Reporting?
Every member of your team with permission to edit reports can use conversational reporting. If you have read-only access to reports, conversational reporting doesn't appear on the Reports page.
Can I Still Build and Edit Reports Manually?
Yes, you can always build a report from scratch or from a template, and you can manually edit reports. You can also:
Create a report with conversational reporting and manually edit your report’s filters, columns, sort order, and groupings.
Create a report manually and use conversational reporting to edit your report’s filters, columns, sort order, and groupings.
