Moves Management: Follow Your Plan to Cultivate Prospects

After you build a moves management plan, you’re ready to move prospective donors through a cultivation journey.

Before You Begin

Before you can follow the steps in this article, you must:

Step 1 — Create and Assign Tasks in Bulk

If you’re a relationship manager, you’ll get a monthly portfolio report that shows your prospects without moves management tasks. When you get the report, assign moves management tasks for those prospects. You can do this in bulk for each task.

To create and assign moves management tasks in bulk:

  1. When you receive the “Prospects Without Moves Management Tasks” report each month, open it. You created this report when you built a moves management plan.

  2. In the report settings, click Action.

  3. Click Create Bulk Task.

  4. Create the first task. For example, create a task for a handwritten note. For detailed instructions, read Create and Manage Individual and Bulk Tasks.

  5. Click Save.

  6. Repeat these steps for each moves management task.

Step 2 — Complete Tasks

If you’re a relationship manager, you’ll receive the “Prospects with Assigned Moves Management Tasks” report each week. Open this report to view your tasks.

When you're ready to mark a task as complete:

  1. Open the task.

  2. Click Complete and select Save as Interaction. The interaction appears on the constituent’s timeline, which helps you track the interaction and stay accountable to your moves management plan.

  3. Repeat these steps for each moves management task in your weekly report.
