After you set up Bloomerang Payments, you can update information about your business, bank, and administrator.
Bloomerang Payments uses the Stripe payments platform. To manage your Bloomerang Payments account in Bloomerang CRM, you’re sometimes prompted to sign in through Stripe authentication. However, you update your account information directly in Bloomerang CRM.
Do these steps apply to me?
When you click Payments and then Payments Home, if you see the Settings tab, follow the steps in this article.
When you click Payments and then Payments Home, if you see the Payment Settings tab, follow the steps in Manage Your Bloomerang Payments Account (Legacy).
Update Business Details
To update the business details for your Bloomerang Payments account:
Click Payments.
Select Payments Home.
Click Settings.
Click Account Management.
If you're prompted to sign in to Stripe, follow the steps in Sign In to Stripe to Manage Your Bloomerang Payments Account.
To change your Business Type, go to that section and click Edit. You might have to submit additional required information.
Note: If your organization is a nonprofit, make sure to select Nonprofit as the business type.To change your Business Details, go to that section and click Edit. You can edit these details:
Legal business name
Business name (Doing Business As)
Employer Identification Number (EIN)
Business address
Business phone number
Industry
Business website. If you don’t have a website, click Add Product Description Instead.
To change your Public Details, go to that section and click Edit. You can edit these details:
Business name
Statement descriptor, which appears on donors’ bank statements
(Optional) Shortened descriptor

Change the Account Owner
You can change the account owner yourself for your Bloomerang Payments account if:
Bloomerang Payments account is properly set up as an organization, which means the Business Type is Nonprofit Organization or Company, and
The current account owner is still with your organization
If you lose access to Bloomerang Payments because the account owner left before you could transfer the account ownership, email [email protected].
Note: If you accidentally set the Business Type as Individual, and you need to change the account owner, go to your Bloomerang Payments account settings and change the Business Type to Nonprofit Organization or Company. You might have to submit additional required information. If you must urgently change the account owner, email [email protected].
To change the account owner while the current owner is with your organization:
Click Payments.
Select Payments Home.
Click Settings.
Click Account Management.
If you're prompted to sign in to Stripe, follow the steps in Sign In to Stripe to Manage Your Bloomerang Payments Account.
Go to the Management and Ownership Section.
On the Change Account Representative tile, click Choose.
Select a person or select Add Someone New.

If you selected Add Someone New:
Click Update Representative.
Enter the new account owner's legal first and and last name.
Enter the new account owner's email address.
Click Add.
Click Submit.
Click Yes, Submit.
Click Edit.
Enter any missing information.
Click Submit. The status changes to Verifying. If no additional information is required, the status changes to Verified after about one minute.
To remove a former account owner from the list after the new owner is verified:
Click Edit next to the former account owner's name.
Click Remove Person.
Click Remove.
Update the Bank Account for Payouts
To update the bank account for payouts, add bank accounts, or remove bank accounts:
Click Payments.
Select Payments Home.
Click Settings.
Select Account Management.
If you're prompted to sign in to Stripe, follow the steps in Sign In to Stripe to Manage Your Bloomerang Payments Account.
To change the bank account for your payouts:
Go to Payout Details and click Edit.
Click Link Another Account or Enter Bank Account Details Manually.
Follow the prompts to select the account form a list or manually enter the account numbers.
To remove bank accounts linked to Bloomerang Payments:
Go to the Linked External Accounts section.
Next to the account, click Remove Accounts.
Select the account to remove.
Click Yes, Remove Account.
Change the Mobile Phone Number for Stripe Authentication
When you set up Bloomerang Payments, you entered a mobile phone number for Stripe authentication. To manage your Bloomerang Payments account in Bloomerang CRM, you’re sometimes prompted to sign in through Stripe authentication.
If you don’t have access to that mobile phone number, you can change it. For instructions, read Bloomerang Payments: Change the Mobile Phone Number for Stripe Authentication.
