Register participants and accept donations on a donor's behalf, right from your phone.
Tip: You can also use the Bloomerang Fundraising app to manage and accept in-person payments, registrations, and other forms of payment for your auction, standard events, and donations.
What Can I Do in the Bloomerang Fundraising App?
You can:
Register peer-to-peer participants.
Accept one-time and recurring donations on behalf of donors.
Pay for donations and registrations by credit card or eCheck, or cash and check for offline transactions. For credit card payments, you can use a card reader, Tap to Pay (requires Bloomerang Payments), or both.
Before You Begin
Download, Install, and Log In to the App
If you haven't already, you must download and install the Bloomerang Fundraising mobile app.
Set Up Ways to Accept Cards
You can optionally set up either or both of these ways to accept card payments:
Connect a card reader. To connect a card reader, follow the instructions in Instructions for Mobile Card Readers. To use a card reader, you can purchase one from us. We offer card readers that connect via Bluetooth, Lightning, or USB-C for $139 each. Just send an email to [email protected] to request one.
Connect to Tap to Pay. When you log in to the Bloomerang Fundraising mobile app, Tap to Pay enables automatically if you use Bloomerang Payments and have a compatible iPhone or Android device. If Tap to Pay fails to enable automatically, you can manually enable it.
Manage Peer-to-Peer Events
To manage a peer-to-peer event:
Log in to the Bloomerang Fundraising mobile app.
Tap your peer-to-peer form.

From the menu, tap any of these options:
Payments: To accept a payment for a donation. For more information, go to the "Accept Peer-to-Peer Donations" section on this page.
Registration: To register someone for your event. For more information, go to the "Register Peer-to-Peer Participants" section on this page.
Participants: To view and search the list of participants for your event, and to check in participants. For more information, go to the "View Peer-to-Peer Participants" and "Check In Peer-to-Peer Participants" sections on this page.

Accept Peer-to-Peer Donations
You can create one-time or recurring donations for donors. In the mobile app, the recurring donation frequencies that appear depend on the frequencies you enabled for your peer-to-peer form in the web app.
Tip: If a recurring donation frequency that you want doesn't appear in the mobile app, make sure recurring donations are enabled for your peer-to-peer campaign. Next, edit the recurring donation setting for your peer-to-peer form.
To accept a peer-to-peer donation:
Tap Payments (iOS) or Donations (Android) from the menu.
In the General Payment section, do one of the following:
Tap an amount.
Tap Custom Amount and enter an amount.
In the Payment Frequency section, tap one of these options:
Tap Confirm.
If you selected a recurring frequency:
Tap Start Date and select the date.
(Optional) To set an end date, tap End Date and select the date. If you don’t select an end date, the recurring donation continues until the donor cancels.

In the Contact Information section:
If this is a donation from a company, turn on Company Payment and enter the Company Name and donor's information.
If this isn't a donation from a company, keep Company Payment off and enter the donor's name, address, and email address.
Do one of the following:
To use this address as the billing address, keep Billing Same as Personal turned on.
To enter a different billing address, tap Billing Same as Personal to turn it off. Next, enter the billing address.
In the Payment Details section (iOS) or Donation Details section (Android), choose where to direct the donor's support:
Tap Campaign.
To credit the donation to the campaign as a whole, tap the campaign.
To credit the donation to an individual participant, tap Participants and tap the participant.
To credit the team, tap Teams.
Tap Confirm.
(Optional) In the Payment Message text box, enter a message from the donor, which will appear publicly on your peer-to-peer site.
Note: If you're using an Android device, the Payment Message section appears further down the page, just before Privacy Options.
If custom fields appear, complete those fields.

(Optional) In the Additional Details section:
To allow communications from your organization to this donor, turn on Opt in to allow contact from [your organization's name].
If your peer-to-peer donation setup includes dedications, select a donation type, and then enter a dedication name, notification recipient's email address, and dedication message.
In the Privacy Options section, select whether the donor's name and gift amount appear publicly on your peer-to-peer site. By default, the donor's name and gift amount appear publicly. To prevent this, turn off either or both of these settings:
Don't show name publicly
Don't show gift amount publicly
Tap Continue.
If the donor wants to use GiftAssist to help offset processing fees, turn on the GiftAssist option.

In the Payment Method section, enter the donor's payment information. Donors can pay by credit card, eCheck, check, or cash.
To use a card reader, tap Card Reader. If you haven't already added a card reader, tap Add Card Reader.

To enter card information manually, tap Enter Card Manually and complete the fields.

If you use Bloomerang Payments, you can also capture card information with Tap to Pay.
Tap Continue to complete the payment. A Thank You screen appears and shows the donation amount.
(Optional) On the Thank You screen, you can:
Enter a private Transaction Note and tap Save.
Tap New Payment to quickly accept another donation.
Register Peer-to-Peer Participants
To register participants for your peer-to-peer event:
Tap Registration.
On the Registration Details screen, review the event dates.
If Classifications are enabled for your event, tap Classifications and select the appropriate option.
Tap Category to select the participant's registration package.
Tap Registration Type and select one of the available options:
If optional donations are enabled for the event, enter a donation amount if applicable.
Enter the participant's Contact Information.
If a waiver is required for the event, review and complete it at the bottom of the screen.
Complete any Custom Fields if present.
Select a payment method: Credit card, eCheck, Check, or Cash. For credit card or eCheck payments, the registrant can opt in to GiftAssist to offset processing fees.

If promo codes are enabled for the campaign, tap Promo Codes and enter any applicable codes.
Enter the payment details for the selected method.
Tap Continue to complete the transaction.
On the confirmation screen, enter any Transaction Notes if needed.

To register another participant, tap New Registration.
View Peer-to-Peer Participants
Once you have some participants registered for your campaign, you can manage them on the Participants page.
Here, you’ll find a list of your registered participants.
Use the search bar to find specific participants. If you’ve enabled Scannable QR Tickets, you can tap the QR code icon to scan participant’s QR codes to locate them in the list.
Check In Peer-to-Peer Participants
After you register participants for your peer-to-peer campaign, you can check them in and out on the Participants page.
In the Bloomerang Fundraising mobile app, tap the menu, then tap Participants.
On the Participants page, tap Check In next to a participant to check them in. The Checked In information appears and closes after a few seconds.
To view the participant’s details, tap View Details on the Checked In popup.
To undo the checkin, tap on the participant’s name to navigate to the participant details screen, then tap Undo Check In.
View Peer-to-Peer Participant Details
After the participant has been checked in, you can view their details from the Participants screen.
To view details about the participant, tap on the participant’s name.
Amount shows the participant’s fundraising goal.
Raised shows how much the participant has raised.
Transaction Details shows the transaction ID of the participant’s registration transaction.
The Participant Information screen also shows the participant’s Classification and Category.
To view additional information about the participant, tap Participant Information. The Participant Information screen shows the participant’s Amount, Raised, Classification, and Category. The Participant Information screen also shows the participant’s custom field answers.
