Smart Amounts

Updated over 2 weeks ago

This article introduces you to Smart Amounts, which is available for peer-to-peer and auction donation forms and on Bloomerang Fundraising donation forms to clients with the Giving Essentials or Giving+ package.

When enabled, Smart Amounts will automatically generate dynamic donation amounts presented to visitors on your form. Smart Amounts are established using a unique algorithm that incorporates visitor data and historical giving trends across the Bloomerang Fundraising platform.

Why Use Smart Amounts?

Smart Amounts optimizes giving by personalizing donation amounts for individual donors, rather than providing a static set of amounts for everyone. Because the amounts are dynamic, they account for factors that impact donors’ willingness and ability to give, which leads to higher conversion rates and larger gifts.

Enabling Smart Amounts

In your donation form’s control panel, navigate to the Donations area of Form Settings.

What Donors See

When donors visit your donation form, they’ll see five suggested donation amounts, offering a range of gift levels.

The suggested donation amounts will be different for one-time and recurring gifts.

Please note: Dynamic amounts won’t always be available, so it’s important to configure a few static donation amounts. To configure donation amounts, check out this article.

If you’ve added a custom donation amount field to your form, this option will appear alongside the Smart Amounts as well. Any customizations to the “Other” amount field, such as the field label and whether it’s enabled for one-time or recurring gifts, will also be respected.
