Identify Prospective Donors

Updated this week

The Prospective Donors dynamic group helps you identify potential donors from among your constituents. Prospective donors include constituents who are in your system but who have not donated yet. These constituents may have expressed interest in your organization at one point or volunteered for an event, but have not been engaged enough to donate.

For more information about groups in Bloomerang CRM, read About Groups.

About the Prospective Donors Group

The Prospective Donors group includes all constituents who have never donated to your organization. Data about these constituents appears on the Prospective Donors group page in interactive graphs. You can click on any segment of these graphs to instantly filter the list of group members. This allows you to target your fundraising efforts based on demographic and engagement factors. The following information appears on the Prospective Donors page:

  • Prospective Donors Summary — Shows the number of prospective constituents, the number that were added this month, and the total number of actions taken.

  • Generosity Score Breakdown — For more information about Generosity Score, read DonorSearch Basics.

  • Actions Taken — Counts the number of times, within the past 30 days, that a constituent opened an email, volunteered, signed up for a mailing list, or attended an event.

  • Gender Breakdown

  • Age Breakdown

Note: “Actions Taken” are distinct from, but overlap with, Bloomerang CRM interactions in general. Not all Bloomerang CRM interactions count as Actions Taken for the purposes of the Prospective Donors dynamic group. The specific types of actions that are included in Actions Taken indicate initiative on the part of the constituent, and are thus reliable indicators of the constituent’s interest in the work of the organization.

Filter the Prospective Donors List

To filter the prospective constituents list, click one or more of the graphs on the Prospective Constituents page. The corresponding filters are applied, and the list of constituents changes to reflect your selected graph sections. To clear a filter, click a segment of a graph again.
