Upload Non-Bloomerang Emails to Constituents

Using BCC to Bloomerang CRM, forward emails from your personal email account to Bloomerang CRM. These emails are added as constituent interactions.

Warning: If the constituent's email address is the same as a user's email address, BCC will not work. For users who are also constituents, use different email addresses on the user and constituent accounts.

Ways to Send Email

You have three ways to bcc an email to Bloomerang CRM:

  • Forward an email

  • Copy an email to Bloomerang CRM

  • Send an email from the constituent profile

Note: Bloomerang CRM will look at the email address and compare it with constituents' primary email address.

Forward an Email to Bloomerang CRM

To add an existing email to Bloomerang CRM:

  1. Open the email in your email program and forward it.

  2. In the To field, type the BCC email address.

    Warning: Do not add any other email addresses to the To or CC fields.

  3. Click Send.

Send an Email and Copy It to Bloomerang CRM

To send an email to a constituent and automatically add it to Bloomerang CRM:

  1. Compose the email in your email program.

  2. In the To and CC fields, type the email addresses of the recipients.

  3. In the BCC field, type the BCC email address.

    Warning: Do not type the BCC email address in the To or CC fields. If recipients click Reply to All, they will get an unnecessary email from Bloomerang CRM.

  4. Click Send.

Send Email from Constituent Profiles

You can click the primary email address on a constituent's profile. Your default email program opens with the email address in the To field and the BCC email address in the BCC field. Compose and send the email as usual.

Tip: If you use a unique BCC email address, remember to replace [email protected] with your BCC email address.

View Bcc'd Email Interactions

Emails that are bcc'd to Bloomerang CRM are added as an interaction to the constituent's timeline.

In Timeline view, email threads are grouped. In List view, all emails are separate. If multiple members of a household receive an email, only one interaction email shows on the household timeline.

Open the interaction to see the bcc'd email and its attachments.
