Ask Penny for Donor Intelligence

Ask Penny about a constituent’s Predict AI scores, optimal ask amount, or ProspectAI research report, right from the chat window, without opening that constituent’s record. Penny can also answer questions that span your whole donor base, such as which constituents are most likely to lapse, and offer to save the results as a group.

To learn about Predict AI and ProspectAI, read About the Intelligent Giving Platform. To learn Penny basics, read Get Started with Penny AI.

Before You Begin

  • Donor intelligence answers require the Intelligent Giving Platform, which is available as an upgrade to your Bloomerang subscription. To get more information about adding it to your subscription, fill out this interest form.

  • To ask Penny to summarize a constituent's ProspectAI report, the constituent must first have that report. To request that report, click Enrich Profile on the ProspectAI tab in that constituent’s account. Penny can’t initiate that report.

Ask About a Constituent’s Scores and Optimal Ask Amount

Ask Penny about a specific constituent's Predict AI scores or optimal ask amount from any page in Bloomerang CRM. You don't need to open that constituent's record first.

Predict AI scores refresh weekly, so Penny's answer reflects the most recent refresh.

To ask Penny about a constituent’s scores:

  1. If Penny isn't already open, click Ask AI.
Ask AI button in the toolbar

  2. In the text box, ask Penny a question about a constituent. For example:

    • What is John Smith’s likelihood to become a major donor?

    • What is Jane Smith’s likelihood to become a mid level donor?

    • What is Jennifer Cane’s likelihood to give a gift?

    • What is Mark Smith’s optimal ask amount?

  3. Press Enter on your keyboard. Penny looks up the constituent and responds with the score or amount.

Summarize a Constituent’s ProspectAI Report

Ask Penny to summarize a constituent's ProspectAI report instead of opening the ProspectAI tab on their record. Penny summarizes the report sections described in About the Intelligent Giving Platform, such as the executive summary, capacity assessment, professional background, giving history, and affinity findings.

To ask Penny to summarize a ProspectAI report:

  1. If Penny isn't already open, click Ask AI.

  2. In the text box, ask Penny a question about the constituent. For example: Summarize John Smith's ProspectAI report.

  3. Press Enter on your keyboard. Penny responds with a summary of the report.

If the constituent doesn't have a ProspectAI report yet, Penny tells you so and points you to the Enrich Profile option.

Ask About Multiple Constituents at Once

Ask Penny a question that spans your whole donor base instead of building a report. Penny can rank, filter, and list donors by any Predict AI model (Major Giving, Mid Giving, Convert to Recurring, Next Gift, and Churn), or by optimal ask amount. You can also combine a Predict AI score with other information in Bloomerang CRM, such as the last interaction date.

To ask Penny about multiple constituents:

  1. If Penny isn't already open, click Ask AI.

  2. In the text box, ask Penny a question. For example:

    • - *Who are our donors that have a likelihood to become a mid level donor score of 70 or higher

    • - Give me a list of donors that are likely to lapse on their recurring gift and haven’t been contacted in the last 90 days?

    • - Who are the donors likely to become a major donor that I haven’t called in the last 90 days?

  3. Press Enter on your keyboard. Penny responds with a list of matching constituents.

  4. (Optional) Ask Penny to save the constituents as a group. For details, read the “Save Penny's Results as a Group” section on this page.

Save Penny's Results as a Group

After Penny lists constituents that match your question, ask her to save that list as a group instead of re-running the same question later.

You can't edit the Intelligent Giving Platform filters on a group Penny creates this way.

To save Penny's results as a group:

  1. After Penny responds with a list of constituents, ask Penny to create a group. For example ask Penny the following: Add all of those constituents to a new "Major Giving Tier 1" group.
Penny prompt that adds constituents to a group

  2. Penny asks you to confirm the group name and the number of constituents she'll add. Review the details, then confirm. For example, reply Yes, create the group. Penny creates the group and adds the constituents to it.

  3. To view the new group, click Groups. Your new group appears on the Groups Summary page like any other group you create.New group created by Penny in the Groups Summary list

Tip: To learn other ways to add and manage groups, read Add and Manage Constituent Groups and Members.
