Bloomerang Fundraising Mobile App | Manually Enable Tap to Pay

When you log in to the Bloomerang Fundraising mobile app, Tap to Pay enables automatically if you use Bloomerang Payments and have a compatible iPhone or Android device. To understand how Tap to Pay works, and for requirements, see What is Tap to Pay?

If Tap to Pay fails to enable automatically, you can always manually enable it. If you still can’t enable Tap to Pay after following the steps in this article, read Troubleshoot Tap to Pay. The instructions apply to both the Bloomerang CRM and Bloomerang Fundraising mobile apps.

Enable Tap to Pay for iOS

To manually enable Tap to Pay for your iOS device:

  1. Open the Bloomerang Fundraising mobile app.
    ​Tip: To log in to the mobile app faster, enable Face ID or Touch ID for the Bloomerang Fundraising mobile app on your iPhone.

  2. If you have not set up Tap to Pay on the app before, a banner appears when you open a form.

  3. Tap Enable Now.

  4. Accept the Terms & Conditions. This step is required to use Tap to Pay.

    ​Note: An admin only needs to accept the Terms & Conditions once per account. Subsequent devices that enable Tap to Pay are not prompted to accept them.

  5. The app directs you to the Card Readers page. Accept the request for Bluetooth permissions.

  6. When the app locates Tap to Pay, tap Enable Tap to Pay.
    The mobile app connects to your phone’s internal reader. The Card Readers page opens and Tap to Pay on iPhone shows as Connected.

  7. When you process a donation for the first time, accept the app’s request to enable location permissions.

Enable Tap to Pay for Android

To manually enable Tap to Pay for your Android device:

  1. Open the Bloomerang Fundraising mobile app.
    ​Tip: To log in to the mobile app faster, enable Fingerprint Unlock on your Android device.

  2. Go to the Card Readers page.

  3. Accept the requests for Bluetooth and location permissions.

  4. When the app locates Tap to Pay, tap Enable Tap to Pay.
    The mobile app connects to your phone’s internal reader, and Tap to Pay shows as Connected.
