Troubleshooting Steps

Event status

Event start and end dates

If the event has start and end dates:

  • To keep registration open until the day of the event, make sure your event start date is set to the actual event date, not an earlier registration cutoff date.

  • Check whether the event end date has passed. If that date has passed, registration closes automatically.

  • If you extend the date, but registration is still closed, check the package dates. Make sure to extend the package dates as well.

Registration cutoff date

If the event has a registration cutoff date:

  • Make sure the cutoff date is in the future, or

  • Turn off the cutoff date. If you turn off the cutoff date, registration stays open until the event starts.

Package status

  • Make sure your event has at least one package. Packages include the tickets for your event.

  • Make sure the package is turned on.

Package start and end dates

Make sure the package start and end dates are correct. Packages have their own date settings.

For example, if you extend the event start date, make sure to also extend the package start date.

Registration links

You can make an event private, and you can also make packages in that event private.

Why is my event sold out when the package limit is unlimited?

The event registration limits, not the package limits, control whether the event sells out. When the event registration limit is reached, the event sells out even if packages are still available.

Check the event registration limits and adjust those as needed.

Why aren’t buttons working on my embedded registration form?

Make sure to copy the embed form code directly from Bloomerang Fundraising.

To copy the embed form code:

  1. Click Fundraising.

  2. Select Embed.

  3. Click the event registration form widget.

  4. In the Copy and paste the following code… section, copy all of that code.

  5. On your website, paste the code where you want the registration form to appear. You can include the code in an iFrame.
