Adding Apple Pay as a Payment Method

Adding Apple Pay in Bloomerang Fundraising.

Note: On June 1, 2026, Bloomerang automatically enabled Apple Pay for all eligible Worldpay organizations. No action is needed on your part. If you're not sure whether Apple Pay is active for your organization, log in to Bloomerang Fundraising and check your payment methods. If Apple Pay is not yet enabled, follow the steps in the How to Ensure You're Eligible section.

Setting up Apple Pay as a payment option makes it simple for your donors to use their existing Apple Pay accounts to make donations. Apple Pay appears as an option right on your form along with your other payment options for any donor using the Safari browser on an Apple mobile device.

This article will explain how to register for Apple Pay and get it onto your forms with Bloomerang Fundraising. We'll also show you what your donors will see when Apple Pay is active.

The setup process described in this article is not applicable if you are using Bloomerang Payments as your payment processor. If you are using Bloomerang Payments Apple Pay is automatically included as a payment option for your constituents.

Note: Apple Pay is not yet supported in the Givi app, on embedded forms, on forms with a custom domain, or with a merchant processor that is not Worldpay or Bloomerang Payments.

Note: The video in this section does not yet reflect the current branding and layout of the Bloomerang Fundraising platform.

Apple Pay is available to clients using Worldpay at all plan levels. Apple Pay does not charge an additional transaction fee for nonprofits, so your Worldpay/Bloomerang Fundraising transaction fees will remain the same at 3.95% + $0.30 per transaction.

When you're looking at your reports in Bloomerang Fundraising, you'll see Apple Pay as the Payment Channel in the transaction details report, but the actual transaction processing goes through Worldpay.

To accept donations using Apple Pay, you must be a verified nonprofit organization. To streamline the verification process with Apple Pay, Bloomerang Fundraising has partnered with Candid to verify your non-profit status.

If Apple Pay is not yet active on your forms, follow the steps in the next section to confirm your eligibility. After you complete the steps, contact our Customer Experience team and we'll get you set up.

What Your Donors See

When Apple Pay is active on your account, and someone completes a donation or registration, Apple Pay appears as a payment option on your form, as long as the donor is using Safari as their browser on an Apple mobile device.
