Getting Started

To proceed with connecting your peer-to-peer campaign directly with your organization or event Facebook page, head to Social Posts in your peer-to-peer control panel.

Once you're there click the Connect with Facebook button.

Please note: To connect to your organization’s Facebook page versus your personal Facebook page, you must be operating as an administrator of that page. Be careful not to connect to your personal social media accounts!

When you click on the Connect with Facebook button, a pop-up will appear asking you to log in to Facebook (if you're not already logged in), to verify your credentials, and to select the pages that you'd like to link.

Once you've successfully connected your account, you'll see options to Add New Post or Disconnect from Facebook.

To create a Facebook post, click the Add New Post button.

Next, you'll enter a Post Name. These posts will be stored for future use, so choosing a descriptive name will help you manage posts easily in the future.

For EACH post you'll also need to determine where you'd like the message to post. You'll see a drop-down of each of the pages that you linked to Bloomerang Fundraising during the Connect with Facebook step.

Posting Options

Once you choose where you want this message to post, choose a posting option for your template. Your options include:

Manually: This option will allow you to create a message that will then have to be manually posted via a Post button available to you after creation. You can quickly and easily post right from your administrator control panel.

Goal Percentage Reached: This option allows you to create templates that post automatically when the campaign reaches a certain percentage of its fundraising goal. To use this option, click on the blank space in the sentence Send my post when I’ve reached ____% of my goal and enter your desired percentage.

Send on a specific date: This option will post your message on the desired date and time only – it's not a recurring post.

Periodically: Messages will be posted to your page on a daily, weekly, or monthly frequency, depending on what you choose from the drop-down menu, beginning on the date you indicate in the starting box.

Number of Registrants: This option will trigger your post when you hit the number of registrants indicated in this area. This will calculate the total number of ALL registration types.

Post Content

After determining when you should post, you'll configure what to post using the Post Text area.

Next to the text box, you can see a live post preview of how your post will appear on Facebook. Here’s an example:

When you’re done, click Add New Post to schedule your post.

Post List

Once you've created a post, it will appear in your post list.

Manual posts will have a Post button that you can click when you're ready to post to your page. That way, you can queue posts until you're ready to share them.

Automatic posts will have a toggle, which you can turn off if you decide you don't want the post to be shared automatically.

You can also Edit or Delete queued posts from this screen.
