Once you have created a Crowdfunding Cause in Kindful Fundraising, your public page for the Cause is live and can begin receiving donations. Learn how to manage your cause and invite new team members so they can create their own Cause pages.
Manage a Crowdfunding Cause
To access a Crowdfunding Cause, select Crowdfunding in Kindful Fundraising. Then click on the specific Cause under Cause Name.
Access the Cause Teams, view or remove pending Invites, add default Team Images and videos for new profiles, invite new teams on the Invite New Team tab, invite groups from your contacts on the Invite Group tab, and adjust any of the Settings from when you initially created the Cause.
Team
The Team tab displays all of the current Teams associated with your Cause. If you just created your Cause, you may not see any teams yet.
Click Details to pull up the team's dashboard. You can make edits to the team's page or inactivate the team from here if needed. To inactivate a team, click Edit Team Info, check Inactivate Team?
, and then Save.
Back on the Team tab, you can click Donate Now to donate, or Public be taken to the team's public page.
Click Delete to delete the team.
Note: It is usually better to make a team inactive than delete it. If a team has donations, those donations must be reassigned to a new team before the team can be deleted.
Invites
The Invites tab will show you all of the pending invitees for teams.
If you need to re-invite a Team Member to your Crowdfunding Cause, first you will have to Remove their current invite.
Click Invites, find the contact you invited, and click Remove. With the original invite removed, you can send a new invite.
Team Images
Click Team Images and then Add or update image/video. A pop up window will appear that will allow you to Link to an image, Link to YouTube, Link to Vimeo, or Upload image.
Whichever option you choose will become the default for this Cause's pages. Team Members can add their images or videos if they choose not to use the default.
Invite New Team
Click Invite New Team and a pop up window will appear that will allow you to invite a new Team Lead.
Typing into the Lookup an existing contact: field will search for potential matches in your contacts. Click on the name of the contact you’d like to add and it will automatically fill in the details in the right column.
If the contact doesn’t exist in Kindful yet, or you’d like to update an existing contact, add those details in the right column.
Click Send to invite. Click Send and Reopen to invite another person directly after.
Once the invited Team Lead verifies from the link in the invitation email, they'll have the chance to set up and customize their Team Page.
Settings
The Settings tab will allow you to update any of the settings you adjusted when you first created the Cause.
Report on a Cause in Bloomerang
The Cause Name, Team Name, and Team Member are synced to Bloomerang as a Note.
