View or Edit Custom Question Responses

View and track a volunteer’s custom question responses and waiver responses across multiple opportunities from the volunteer’s organization profile. You can also view a volunteer’s responses for individual opportunities by opening an opportunity and viewing the volunteer’s profile within that opportunity.

Note: In the volunteer’s organization profile, only opportunities that the volunteer is signed up for appear on the Custom Question Responses tab.

To view custom question responses:

  1. If you are in more than one organization, make sure you are in the right one.

  2. From the navigation menu, click People, and then click Volunteers.

  3. Select a volunteer.

  4. In the volunteer’s profile, click Custom Question Responses. By default, the volunteer’s custom question responses for the organization appear.

  5. Select Organization-Level Responses or a specific opportunity from the drop-down list.
The volunteer’s form question responses appear for the selected option.

Edit Custom Question Responses

You can also use this procedure to agree to a waiver on a volunteer's behalf, or to edit a waiver response the volunteer already gave. This works from both the volunteer's organization profile and their profile within an opportunity.

To edit a volunteer’s custom question responses:

  1. If you are in more than one organization, make sure you are in the right one.

  2. From the navigation menu, click People, and then click Volunteers.

  3. From the volunteer list, search for and select a volunteer.

  4. In the volunteer’s profile, click Custom Question Responses. By default, the volunteer’s custom question responses for the organization appear.

  5. Select Organization-Level Responses or a specific opportunity from the drop-down list.
The volunteer’s form question responses appear for the selected option.

  6. Click Edit.

  7. In the Additional Details window, edit the volunteer’s custom question responses as needed.

    • For a waiver that uses the Checkbox Agreement consent style, select the checkbox to agree on the volunteer's behalf.

    • For a waiver that uses the Collect an E-Signature consent style, enter the signee's name and draw the signature.

  8. Click Submit Form.
The custom question responses are updated.

  9. In the volunteer’s profile window, click Done.

Note: If you agree to or update a waiver on a volunteer's behalf, the system saves a new version of the agreement to help you track the waiver responses for each volunteer. This applies both to the Organization Waiver and Opportunity Waiver templates, and to any waivers you added as custom questions.

Each saved version includes this information:

  • Status of the agreement

  • Date of the response

  • Signee's full name

  • Email address and name associated with the signee's Bloomerang Volunteer account.

A waiver that uses the Collect an E-Signature consent style also records an image of the signature. A waiver that uses the Checkbox Agreement consent style records the agreement text the volunteer accepted, such as "I agree."
