Start your day knowing exactly who to reach out to and why. Recommended Actions is a tile on your Home page that ranks the most valuable actions your organization can take this week, drawn from donor intelligence across your whole database.
Each recommendation names a constituent, explains why they matter now, and offers one action you can take right away. For example, a recommendation might tell you that a loyal donor is at risk of lapsing, or that a supporter is ready for a conversation about a major gift.
Recommended Actions saves you from combing through reports and constituent records to find these opportunities yourself.
Who Can Use Recommended Actions?
Recommended Actions is part of the Intelligent Giving Platform, which is an upgrade to your Bloomerang CRM subscription. If your organization doesn't have the Intelligent Giving Platform, the tile Recommended Actions doesn't appear on your Home page.

Why Should I Use Recommended Actions?
Use Recommended Actions to:
Find donors who are at risk of lapsing before they lapse.
Spot supporters who are ready for a larger ask.
Decide what to work on first when your time is limited.
When you work from Recommended Actions, you:
Act sooner: The opportunities come to you at login instead of waiting to be found.
Skip the research step: Each recommendation already explains why the constituent matters now.
Work from the same list as your team: Everyone at your organization sees the same recommendations, so it's clear what the priorities are.
How Does It Work?
Your Home page shows the top three recommendations. Each recommendation includes:
Description: What happened and what to do next.
Action: One suggested action for that recommendation. Read Act on Recommended Actions for what each action does.
Recommendations draw on Predict AI, the scoring engine in the Intelligent Giving Platform. Predict AI scores every constituent who has given at least one donation, then Bloomerang ranks those scores to build your organization's list.
Recommendations don't act on their own. Nothing reaches a constituent until you review it and send it.
How Are Recommendations Chosen?
Bloomerang ranks recommendations by what's most valuable to your organization right now, in this order:
Retention risk: A recurring donor who might stop giving.
Major giving opportunity: A constituent who might be ready for a major gift.
Solicitation timing: A constituent who is likely to give again soon.
Upgrade and mid-level growth: A donor who might move up to a higher giving level.
Within each of those groups, the ranking weighs three things:
How strong the constituent's Predict AI score is.
How long it's been since anyone at your organization contacted that constituent.
The optimal ask amount Predict AI calculates for that constituent.
Because time since last contact affects the ranking, recommendations get more useful as your team logs interactions consistently.
When Do Recommendations Update?
Recommendations automatically refresh daily. The list stays the same for the rest of the day, even when your team acts on the recommendations or new donations come in.
Does Acting on a Recommendation Remove It?
No, acting on a recommendation doesn’t remove it from the Recommended Actions tile. A recommendation stays on the tile for the rest of the day after you act on it, and the tile doesn't mark it as done. Recommendations change when the list refreshes the next day.
Because every Bloomerang CRM user at your organization sees the same list, coordinate with your team so two people don't act on the same recommendation.
What If I Don't See Any Recommendations?
The Recommended Actions tile can be empty when:
Your organization is new to the Intelligent Giving Platform and Predict AI hasn't finished scoring your constituents yet.
No constituent currently scores high enough to be recommended.
Recommendation data is temporarily unavailable.
How Do I Get Started?
Recommended Actions is ready to use as soon as your organization adds the Intelligent Giving Platform to your subscription. There's nothing to set up.
