User Experience: Guest Mode Versus Non-Guest Mode

Updated over 2 weeks ago

This article includes screenshots and descriptions of what donors and/or registrants will see while using the kiosk in non-guest mode and guest mode.

Guest mode allows users to skip the initial login screen where they would create an account or log in. This is most widely used for events when the account creation process for recurring donors is not quite as important.

We'll take a look at non-guest mode first.

Non-Guest Mode

On the home screen, donors will have the option to log in with an existing donor account or create an account if they don't have one.

Creating an account is simple! After clicking Create an Account from the kiosk home screen, donors will see a screen prompting them to enter their name, email, and phone number.

After tapping Continue, donors will be taken to a screen where they’ll enter their address and tap Create an Account.

Next, the donor will be taken to a screen asking as whom they would like to sign in. In the future, they’ll log in by entering their phone number and choosing their name from the screen shown below.

After completing a transaction, a user with a donor account will be taken to their receipt, which alerts them that a copy has automatically been sent to the email on file. From there, they can Return to Home Screen.

Guest Mode

In guest mode, the donor will see the options to log in or create an account, but they'll also see an option to Continue As Guest.

Please note: If you've disabled Collect Address During Account Creation in your kiosk settings, guest mode will only display the Continue As Guest option.

After tapping Continue As Guest, they’ll be taken to the navigation screen.

After completing a transaction, a guest will be prompted to enter their email address in order to receive a copy of the receipt, if they’d like one.

If they'd like to review the receipt without receiving a copy, they can tap No, thanks, I'd just like to view my receipt.
