Form Tags

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Form tags are a great way to organize your forms for easy sorting! This article will show you how to add tags to your forms and how to sort by a specific tag.

Please note: Form tags are for internal use and sorting only. Your constituents will not see the tags you've attached to your forms.

What Form Tags Are and Where to See Them in Bloomerang Fundraising

Form tags are a piece of metadata you can attach to your forms to sort by a specific piece of information. For example, if you have a lot of forms related to holiday fundraising, you might want to create a “Holiday” tag so you can quickly find any forms associated with holidays.

You can attach as many tags as you want to each of your forms.

You can see the tags that you’ve attached to forms on the Forms and Events page, in the Forms menu, and in Form Settings.

We’ll go through each of these areas in the next section, but for now, here’s what it looks like in each view when you have tags attached to your forms.

Forms and Events

You can access the Forms and Events page by clicking the Forms and Events link within Fundraising in the left-hand navigation.

Creating Form Tags

There are lots of different ways to add tags to your forms, but to manage all of your tags in one place, start in the Form Tags area within the Fundraising menu of your org-level navigation.

From here, you can create tags, assign them colors, attach them to forms, and edit them.

To create a new tag, click Add New Form Tag at the top of the screen.

Give your tag a name and select a color for the tag. If you know what forms you want to attach the tag to, you can do that now, using the Associate Forms field.

When you’re done, click Add New Tag.

If you want to change the name, color, or associated forms later, click Edit to the right of the tag name in the list.

For auctions, peer-to-peer events, and fundraising hubs, you’ll find the area for form tags in the Auction Settings, Campaign Settings, and Hub Settings areas, respectively. Form tags will appear just beneath the name of the event or hub.

Add an existing tag by selecting it from the drop-down.

Sorting by Tags

Now that you’ve set up your tags, it’s time to use them to sort your forms!

On the Forms and Events page, use the Tags filter under the Search bar to select which tags you want to include.

You can also sort by tags in the Forms menu. If you click the Tag icon in this menu, only forms with tags will be displayed, organized by their assigned tags.

Pro tip: You can also filter your reports by form tags by choosing the Form Tags filter in the Advanced Filtering drop-down.

Remember that you can attach tags to any type of form, including auctions, peer-to-peer campaigns, and fundraising hubs. Each form can have multiple tags. And if you want to make global changes to your tags, you can do so in the Form Tags area of your org-level Fundraising menu.

Happy tagging!
