After you create an auction and finalize its settings, create packages for the auction. Packages are the ticketing options for your event. Without packages, supporters cannot register for your event. For example: packages can represent single tickets, multiple tickets, or tables of 10.
Add a Package
To add a package, do the following:
In your auction form control panel, in the Registration Setup section, click Packages.
Click Add New Package.
Enter a Package Name and Package Description. This information appears publicly on your registration page.
(optional) To make the package private, enable Private Package. Private packages do not appear in the public package list, and can only be accessed through the auction Virtual Terminal or via a direct URL that you share.
Configure Tickets and Limits
Packages can include multiple participants. To include more than one ticket in a package, adjust Tickets Included. To adjust the number of tickets, click the plus (+) or minus (–) buttons, or enter a number.
Note: Each auction package must include at least one ticket.
If a package includes more than one ticket, multiple tickets are generated when someone registers. If a supporter selects a multi-ticket package during registration, can enter individual guest information and email a ticket to each guest.
If the purchaser is not ready to send tickets yet, they can skip that step during registration.
Note: Ticket management is always enabled for auctions and cannot be disabled. For more information, read Event Details & Settings.
Set a Default Quantity (Optional)
To preselect a quantity on the registration page, set Default Quantity. The default value is 0.
When supporters view the registration page, the quantity you set is selected by default. Supporters can change the quantity in the drop-down.
Set Starting Bidder Numbers (Optional)
To have bidder numbers for this package start at a specific number, turn on Package has a Starting Bidder Number, then enter a Starting Bidder Number. When bidder numbers are assigned for this package, they start at the number that you set here.
For details about when bidder numbers are assigned, see the Bidding Settings section in your auction settings.
Set Purchase Limits (Optional)
If your venue has limited space, or you want to limit discounted packages, set purchase limits, you can limit the number of packages available per event or per transaction.
The Max Available per Event setting limits the total number of packages that can be sold for the event.
The Max Available per Transaction setting limits how many packages a purchaser can buy in a single transaction.
Both fields default to Unlimited. To change a limit, click the field and enter a number, or use the plus (+) and minus (–) buttons. To revert to unlimited, click the infinity icon.
Include a Scannable QR Ticket (Optional)
If you enabled scannable QR tickets in your auction settings, you can turn on Include Scannable QR Ticket with package.
When QR tickets are enabled for the event, this option is turned on by default. Turn it off if you want to offer a package without a QR ticket, such as a virtual bidder package.
Set Package Pricing
Set the following values:
Price is the amount supporters pay for the package.
Fair Market Value is the non-tax-deductible portion of the ticket price.
Add an Early Bird Discount (Optional)
To discount the package for early registrants, turn on Include an early bird discount. Then choose one of the following:
A fixed discount amount.
A percentage discount.
Set the Early Bird Cutoff date and End Time.
Add a Multi-Package Discount (Optional)
To offer a discount when supporters buy multiple packages, turn on Include a multi-package discount. Then enter the per-package price for multiple quantities.
To apply the same price to multiple quantities, enter the price and click Apply to all quantities below.
Add Custom Fields
You can add custom fields to the package to gather additional information about registrants.
To add custom fields, do the following:
Create your custom event fields. For more information about creating custom event fields, read Registration Fields.
In the Custom Event Fields section of the auction settings, select the fields that you created.
When you are finished, click Add New Package at the bottom of the screen.
Edit or Clone Packages
From the main packages list, you can:
Enable or disable packages.
View package details.
Drag and drop packages to change the display order.
To edit a package, click Edit.
To create a new package with the same settings, click Clone, and then confirm. To update the cloned package, click Edit and make your changes.
