What are the Opportunity Visibility Settings?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

When you are ready for Volunteers to sign up for an Opportunity, there are several different visibility settings to choose from. These settings allow you to control which Volunteers can see, and sign up for an Opportunity. The main visibility settings are:

  • Do Not Show as an Opportunity (Hidden)

  • Show to Members of your Organization (All Members)

  • Show to Members with or without specific Organization Qualifications (Custom)

  • Show to Members and Non-Members of your Organization (Public)

Note: If a non-Organization member tries to sign up for an Opportunity with Show to Members of Your Organization enabled, the system checks if that Volunteer's email address belongs to the Organization. If the Volunteer is not part of the Organization, Bloomerang Volunteer stops the signup process and directs them to the Organization’s signup page.

To make the opportunity listing visible for a specific date range, read Manage Opportunity Signup/Application Periods. The signup/application period is separate from the dates of the opportunity.
