What does it mean to Auto-Tag a Role or Qualification?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Roles and qualifications can be automatically assigned to volunteers based on their answers to certain kinds of form questions. The types of form questions which support auto-tagging are:

  • Checkboxes (Multiple Response)

  • Drop Down (Single Response)

  • Buttons (Single Response)

  • Yes/No Buttons (Single Response)

Note: At the organization level, only qualifications and tags can be auto-tagged. At the opportunity level, roles, qualifications, and tags can be auto-tagged.

To set up auto-tagging or auto-qualifications for a form question, do the following:

  1. From the navigation menu, click Opportunities.

  2. Select an opportunity, or use the search box to find and select an opportunity.

  3. In the opportunity menu, click Settings, and then click Form & Profile Fields.

  4. Select an existing form question or create a new one. Only checkboxes, drop-down questions, buttons, and Yes/No buttons support auto-tagging and auto-qualifications.

    • To edit an existing form question, hover over the question and click Actions, then Edit.

    • To Create a new form question, click Add a Custom Question.

  5. Click either the auto-tag button or the auto-qualification button.

Form question with a question type that allows users to add auto-tags and auto-qualifications.
  6. Select one or more tags or qualifications.

  7. Click Add.
