Some website builders, such as Wix and others, use an iframe to contain reCAPTCHA. If you embed an iframe in your website to contain reCAPTCHA, you must register two domains when you set up reCAPTCHA in Google:
Domain for your organization’s website, such as
example.orgDomain for the iframe, such as
www-example-org.filesusr.com
Find the Domain of an iframe
To find the domain of an iframe, you must use a web browser tool to inspect the code of your webpage. The steps you take to inspect a web page depend on your web browser. To get you started, we provide general instructions. For detailed instructions, read the documentation for your web browser.
Find the URL of an iframe:
In your web browser, go to your website's live page, which is the page your constituents see. Do not go to the editor page or preview page.
Right-click the page and click Inspect.
Find the
<iframe>tag for your reCAPTCHA embed.
Tip: If your website builder is Wix, try searching forwix-iframe.Expand that tag to find the domain for the iframe.
Copy the domain. When you set up reCAPTCHA in Google, you enter this domain in addition to your website's domain.
