Enable and View Online Payment Confirmation Receipts

Send online payment confirmation receipts to assure donors that their payment was processed.

Before You Begin

You can customize your online payment confirmation receipts. To do this, first create a transaction-based email and select Receipt as the purpose. When you go to the Online Payment Confirmation Receipts page, you can select this custom email.

Enable Online Payment Confirmation Receipts

To enable online payment confirmation receipts:

  1. Click Settings.

  2. Click Payments.

  3. On the Payments Settings tab, go to the Online Payment Confirmation Receipts section.

  4. To enable automatic receipts, change the toggle to Automatic Receipting On.

  5. For each receipt type, keep the Bloomerang Default email or select a custom email.

  6. Click Save.

View Online Payment Confirmation Receipts Sent to Donors

After Bloomerang CRM emails an online payment confirmation receipt to a donor, an interaction appears on the donor’s timeline. You can open this interaction to view:

  • Send date, subject, purpose, and channel

  • A copy of the email

  • Email tracking (whether the donor opened the email and other tracking information)

You can also download a HTML version of the sent email.

To view a sent online payment confirmation receipt:

  1. Go to the constituent’s account.

  2. Click Timeline.

  3. Look for an interaction named “Email” with the description “Receipt.”
    Tip: To show only interactions on the timeline, click the Interactions filter.

  4. Click the interaction.

  5. To view a copy of the receipt, click Generated Email.

  6. To download a HTML version of the email, click Download Email.
