You can migrate most recurring donation transactions from your current payment processor to Bloomerang Payments.
During the migration, your payment tokens transfer to Bloomerang Payments in a secure and seamless way. Payment tokens are unique identifiers that represent a payment method. You can securely transfer payment tokens because they use randomized numbers rather than the credit card or bank account number.
Migrate from Third-party Processors Connected to Bloomerang CRM
If your payment processor is Authorize.net or BluePay and your recurring donation schedules already exist in Bloomerang CRM, you can migrate recurring donation transactions on your own.
Note: For Bluepay, we recommend that you email [email protected] to make sure your tokens meet the migration criteria.
To migrate from Authorize.net or BluePay, connect to Bloomerang Payments. After setup and approval, all of your tokens (payment methods) transfer automatically to Bloomerang Payments.
Migrate from Other Processors
If you use a payment processor that is processing donations outside of Bloomerang CRM, email a Bloomerang Payment Migration Specialist at [email protected] to get started with the migration process.
Notify Donors About Changes to the Payment Processor
When you migrate donations to Bloomerang Payments, donors may notice a change to how their donations appear on their bank statements. We recommend sending a mass email to notify donors of the change. Use the following email template:

Hello [First Name],
We are thrilled to announce a small update to our back-office systems that will make it even easier for you to support our mission financially!
We wanted to give you a heads-up that you might notice a small change on your bank or credit card statement for your upcoming donation. Our new payee descriptor “NPO - Your Organization Name” will now appear for all one time and recurring donations to our organization.
