Report Basics: Include versus Exclude

Include and exclude are opposite sides of the same coin. Adding a filter to the Include section adds results to your report. Adding a filter to the Exclude section takes away results in your report.

If you add a filter to one section, you do not need to add its opposite to the other section. For example, you exclude everyone with a bad address from your report. Now only constituents with good addresses are in your report. You do not need to add another filter in the Include section for everyone who does not have a bad address.
