Conversions Household Review

Updated over a week ago

Warning: This article is intended for use during your database conversion. If you are not currently converting your legacy database to Bloomerang CRM, please select a different article from the knowledge base.

Households are a summary of Constituent activities from one or more records who share the same Spouse Relationships or Primary Address. These are often created automatically during a conversion but must be created manually in a Live database.

Tip: Household records have a house icon household icon next to their name.

Constituents who share a Household will show the following records:

  • A Constituent Record for each member of the Household

  • A Household Record (Identifiable by a small house icon in a Constituent Search and in the Header of the Record)

Note: Your license count includes everyone in the same Household as ONE record.

To review a Household:

  1. Click Constituents.

  2. Choose one of your test Constituents who should be in a Household

    • Search for the Household Record in the Constituent Search

    • Open the Record

  3. Verify the Household Name is correct

  4. On the Profile Tab, verify the Basic Information is displaying correctly

  5. Ensure the Name, Address, and Phone information is associated with the correct Constituent

  6. Verify that all data from all Constituents appear in the Timeline Tab

In the event that a member of the Household is deceased:

  1. Ensure the Household Name does not include the deceased member

  2. Ensure the Basic Information on the Profile Tab does not include the deceased member

  3. Verify that the Timeline tab includes information from all members of the Household, including the deceased member

If anything is incorrect, record the information to the Revisions Needed List. Use specific examples (ID, examples of what is incorrect) and record what should be present in the record.

Note: Constituent Custom Fields do not show on the Household Record.

Warning: This standardization will NOT continue once your database is live. The Live database will reflect the default naming schemes below. You will need to manually update future Constituents.
