The organization-level Volunteers list shows all users that have signed up or been added to your Organization or an Opportunity within it. The Organization Volunteer list allows Organization Managers to enable or disable data columns such as Form Questions, Qualifications, Tags, Hours Worked and Scheduled, and more.
Organization Managers can use the Volunteer List in various ways for all their volunteers without navigating to the Opportunity level. Managers can use the dynamic view and data columns to see all the necessary information.
To build a report, first set up the columns and filters you want, save them as a view, and then export that view.
Volunteer List Views
The Volunteers page has three built-in views you can click on the table: All Volunteers, Pending Applications, and Rejected Applications. Each view shows its own count and its own set of volunteers.
Every Organization uses the All Volunteers view. Organizations that manually approve applications use the Pending Applications and Rejected Applications views to manage new volunteer signups.
To switch views, select the view you want on the Volunteers page.
Saved Views
A view saves your current filters, columns, and column sort orders as a single named configuration. When you open a view, the list applies that view's filters, columns, and sort orders, and returns to the first page.
You can also bookmark views, set a default view, and organize views into folders. To learn how to create and manage views, read Create and Manage Views on the Volunteers List.
Bulk Actions
Select multiple volunteers to perform an action on a group of volunteers at once, in bulk. When multiple volunteers are selected, you can:
Export the list of selected volunteers to a .CSV file sent to your account email address.
Send a message or a volunteer confirmation request.
Add volunteers to or remove from opportunities.
(When Bloomerang CRM Sync is enabled) Control which volunteers sync to Bloomerang CRM.
Bulk assign or remove Qualifications or Tags.
Remove volunteers from the organization.
To take a bulk action:
If you are in more than one organization, make sure you are in the right one.
From the navigation menu, click People, and then click Volunteers.
Select one or more volunteers. If you select the checkbox in the row with the table column names, you have the option to select:
Click Take Action.
Select the action to take on all selected volunteers.
Tip: Use filters to narrow the volunteer list when performing bulk actions to narrow the list to just the people you need.
Filters
Filters
Managers can also use various Filters on the Volunteer List to narrow the list to the exact group of volunteers they are looking to take action on. You can use filters when taking bulk actions on a specific group of volunteers, or when you want visibility over certain data attached to those volunteers. You can use the filter and search functions together.
Active Filters
The Volunteers page shows the filters you have applied in an active filters section that you can expand or collapse. To clear all applied filters at once, use Clear filters.
Combine Filters
You can control how your filters work together. Within a single filter, you can match volunteers who meet any of the options you choose or all of them. Across several filters, you can require volunteers to match every filter or any one of them.
To learn how to combine filters, read Combine Filters with And or Or Logic on the Volunteers List.
Conflicts
Organization Managers can quickly see if any volunteers have shift conflicts within or across multiple Opportunities. The Conflicts column provides a visual cue of particular volunteers who have current conflicts. There is also a conflicts total at the top of the Volunteers list that gives you access to the conflicts filter.
Columns
The organization-level Volunteers list allows managers to create custom views of different data columns. There are columns for all the data related to the volunteers in the Organization. These columns range from basic profile data and form questions to information on a volunteer's Shifts and Opportunities.
Using these columns to create a specific custom view enables Managers to review all important information without exporting the data or navigating directly into the Opportunities to see how many Shifts, Hours Worked, and so on a user has.
If you want to start fresh in creating a new layout, you can always reset the columns for a view or switch to a default view.
To learn how to manage columns, read Manage Columns on the Volunteers List.
